Assembled to document the history of the Southeastern Section of the American Physical Society (APS), the collection contains the BULLETIN (1938-1971) of the Section, a complete run of programs for Sectional meetings (1935-1972), and a historical sketch of the Section by E. Scott Barr. Also included are sample medals and certificates for the Jesse Wakefield Beams Award for significant research in physics, and the George Braxton Pegram Award for excellence in teaching physics, both awarded by the Southeastern Section of the APS.
